הַמַּֽאֲכִלְךָ מָן בַּמִּדְבָּר אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יָדְעוּן אֲבֹתֶיךָ לְמַעַן עַנֹּֽתְךָ וּלְמַעַן נַסֹּתֶךָ לְהֵיטִֽבְךָ בְּאַחֲרִיתֶֽךָ׃

et cibavit te manna in solitudine, quod nescierunt patres tui. Et postquam afflixit ac probavit, ad extremum misertus est tui,
Que te sustentó con maná en el desierto, comida que tus padres no habían conocido, afligiéndote y probándote, para á la postre hacerte bien;
He fed you in the wilderness with manna that your fathers had not known, in order to humble you and test you, so that in the end He might cause you to prosper.
