עַל־דְּבַר אֲשֶׁר לֹא־קִדְּמוּ אֶתְכֶם בַּלֶּחֶם וּבַמַּיִם בַּדֶּרֶךְ בְּצֵאתְכֶם מִמִּצְרָיִם וַאֲשֶׁר שָׂכַר עָלֶיךָ אֶת־בִּלְעָם בֶּן־בְּעוֹר מִפְּתוֹר אֲרַם נַהֲרַיִם לְקַֽלְלֶֽךָּ׃

quia noluerunt vobis occurrere cum pane et aqua in via quando egressi estis de Ægypto: et quia conduxerunt contra te Balaam filium Beor de Mesopotamia Syriæ, ut malediceret tibi:
Por cuanto no os salieron á recibir con pan y agua al camino, cuando salisteis de Egipto; y porque alquiló contra ti á Balaam hijo de Beor de Pethor de Mesopotamia de Siria, para que te maldijese.
For they did not meet you with food and water on your way out of Egypt, and they hired Balaam son of Beor from Pethor in Aram-naharaim to curse you.
